Rod and Custom Machine has created a conversion kit to turn your 318/340/360 small block into an aluminum headed Hemi machine. Their kit includes cast aluminum Hemi heads (2.02 in, 1.75 ex) with valve train, cast aluminum intake manifold (single 4-bbl, dual 4-bbl or blower), hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, pushrods, forged aluminum pistons, pins and rings.

The early estimates are aiming for 1.5 hp per inch. The projected price is going to be $7995. While it is not cheap, how can you put a price on the stories you can tell when you show off a 318/340/360 Hemi at the next car gathering?
