Speedkore Debuts "Hellafurious" Plymouth Fury
A Second Chapter For The Iconic "Christine"

The 1950s marked a time in the Automotive world when no one cared about fuel economy. Cars were heavy, big, and ripe with immense style that caused people’s heads to turn in admiration even today. Big engines were needed to lug around the beautifully molded steel cars. So SpeedKore decided to riff on a classic: the “Christine” 1958 Plymouth Fury. Except they’ve ditched the innocent sounding name, and went with something more appropriate: “Hellafurious.”

SpeedKore “Hellafurious” Plymouth Fury: Details

A book published in 1983 called “Christine” tells the story of a ’58 Plymouth Fury with a devious disposition and a proper mean streak. Speedcore decided “Christine” was in need of a sequel along with a serious makeover. So, the performance group teamed up with AbimelecDesign to give “Christine” her proper dues with that special SpeedKore carbon fiber touch. Though we only have renderings at the moment, the vehicle certainly pays homage to the classic car.

The body features tinted gloss prepreg carbon fiber with a shaved engine bay in satin carbon. Under the vented hood is Mopar’s Hellephant, with styling cues reminiscent of the first-generation Hemi. Meanwhile, the interior maintains a factory aesthetic and features ample Alcantara and leather. The raked stance of the Fury sits on wide steelies, and, of course, we can’t forget about the iconic fins. Inspired by the flying buttresses of the Ford GT, the fins are “see-through” for a bit of aerodynamic wizardry.

The Hellephant produces up to 1,000 horsepower mounted to a carbon fiber vehicle, is bound to have an outstanding power-to-weight ratio. The “Hellafurious” is part of the What If series SpeedKore has been working on. Though we might not see it come to life, looking at the renderings and imagining its existence makes us hope they do. On the other hand, fans seem to have mixed feelings about it. As SpeedKore announced the “Hellafurious” on Facebook, many fans want to see a re-adaptation of the original “Christine” rather than a remake.

Will we see it at the 2022 SEMA Show? Stay tuned to find out.

I don't think a 1958 Plymouth Fury has ever been this bad butt, no?
Assuming they bring it out at SEMA, I will try to add more photos.
