Ferox500 Extreme Utility Vehicle Is A Hemi-Powered Wrangler From Italy

That costs as much as an AMG G63.

The Jeep Wrangler, for all its on-road flaws and reliability issues, is still one of the finest off-roaders that money can buy. Of course, these days, the Ford Bronco is giving the Wrangler some serious competition, but what if you'd never be caught dead in a Ford? Well, the Wrangler is a pretty good base for customization and upgrades, especially when you restomod it. Naturally, not everyone wants to go old-school and not everyone wants to take the Wrangler to the trails to defend its honor against the Bronco. Some people just love the classic shape and the timeless proportions, and among those people are the men and women behind the Militem Ferox500.

Militem is an Italian company and has just opened its first dealership in Dusseldorf, Germany. To celebrate, the company has just premiered its new model based on the wild, V8-powered Wrangler Rubicon 392. That means you get a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 under the hood and a 0-62-mph time of 4.5 seconds. However, as the styling suggests, this car is not so much about performance but more about luxury and style.

The exterior shows off a set of 22-inch Militem wheels, but only four of them - the spare wheel is no longer attached to the rear door. Other changes include black hinges, a matte carbon fiber grille, and a new hood with a unique scoop, as well as hooks, hood inserts, and side grilles in black. An optional LED light strip and parking sensors can also be added, and smaller 20-inch wheels can be had if the 22s are too extreme for you. A two-inch lift kit, Militem Performance shocks and dampers, and a new braking system from Powerbrake have also been added along with a dual-mode exhaust system.

Inside, the handcrafted interior sees the addition of "racing-derived" seats finished in Nappa leather and Alcantara. This treatment can also be applied to the dashboard, instrument panel, gear knob, steering wheel, and luggage compartment liner. Glossy carbon fiber is used for the door handle inserts, as well as parts of the flat-bottomed steering wheel and center console. If these materials don't suit you, Militem offers a wide range of customization options and will even give you denim if that's what you prefer. Additionally, the luxurious off-roader comes with a 36-month/100,000-kilometer (62,000-mile) warranty. So what does all this cost? The Ferox500 starts at a scandalous €149,500 plus taxes. That's $159,300 in our money or about as much as the 2021 Mercedes-AMG G63. We'll pass, thanks.
