354 stroker

Postby big66440 » Wed Jul 28, 2010 11:00 am

I have a chance to buy 2 early Hemi cranks for a 354 project that I'm planning, they are a 354 and a 392 at 10/10 for $100 each I was thinking of grinding down the 392 crank into the 354 specs or just offset grinding the 354 crank to the 392's stroke(3.90),anyone have any experience or input on what's cheaper and easier, thanks.

BUY THOSE CRANKS. The last 392 crank(used, std,std) I sold...I got $500.00 for.

Good deal on the cranks. Two thoughts: if you try to offset grind the 54 crank that much then you won't have much left...to use the 92 crank in a 54 block then start whittling. You will need to turn everything down to match the 54 dimensions.
Its been done, just alot of machine time.
