545 tranny fluid change-HELP!

Hey I was wondering if anyone else ran into this if you changed your own tranny fluid....

I dropped the pan and changed the two filters....not the total flush. I tried to catch as much oil as i could, which I caught 4.5 quarts in the bucket....and soaked two towels and the shirt i was wearing...so going by the dodge truck service manual, it says to add 5 quarts. Then to check the level, run it for 15 miles and that 'should' be your hot temp. But since it is colder here now in NC, its been getting in the 30's at night and 50-60 during the day, I can't get the tranny to the hot temp. The fluid is warm on the dipstick, the tranny pan is hot, but you can keep your hand on it. I'm going to check it at cold, but I was wondering if anyone changed their own and how much did you add? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Take it out and drive it like you stole it and it will get hot.
