Industrial 426 HEMI

Post by EFANT »

Does anybody know anything about the industrial 426 HEMI? A friend of mine has one he will sell me. It was used on an irrigation system. Will this engine work for use in an automotive application? Or are these engines all torque and little H.P.? I don't know much about the industrial HEMI's.

Thanks
Joe

The industrial hemis were never made in 426 c.i. If it's an industrial hemi then it is either a 331 c.i. or 354 c.i.

There must have been a non-hemi head 426 for industrial use then. There is a block # 2658836 1966-later for industrial listed under B/RB block casting #'s.

Chrysler did produce wedge head industrial engines. As far as I know most of them were 413 c.i. but there could have been a 426 wedge industrial engine too.
