This 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Has Never Been Driven

The interior is still covered in protective plastic wrapping.

The discontinued Dodge Challenger SRT Demon was one of the most potent dragsters ever made, thanks to its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produced a massive 840 horsepower and 717 lb-ft of torque. That's over 40 hp more than today's most powerful Challenger, the SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Only 3,300 SRT Demons were ever made, so getting hold of one isn't easy. And finding one with just 12 miles on the clock? A flight of fantasy, maybe. But the latest listing from Mecum Auctions would prove you wrong because a 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon that's done just 12 miles does actually exist.

As part of the Eddie Vannoy Collection, this purple-hued SRT Demon ('Plum Crazy' is the official name of the color) is unblemished to the point of still having the protective plastic coverings in the cabin and the yellow splitter guard in tact. It's got a black interior with Laguna Alcantara seats, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and a power sunroof. The Demon crate package can be included as well.

The special Nitto 18-inch drag radials and a dedicated Drag Mode work together with the Hemi V8 to send the Demon to 60 mph in a claimed 2.3 seconds and it'll conquer the quarter-mile in just 9.65. That's still about as fast as you can possibly go in any non-EV.

The Plum Crazy Demon you see here is a no reserve and, with the original selling date having been postponed, it's become one of the most desirable Dodge Challengers around. "If ever a factory muscle car exceeded expectations, it's the Challenger SRT Demon offered here from the Vannoy Collection," says the listing.

Considering that the final production Dodge Challenger Demon sold for an exorbitant price, don't expect this 2018 model - which is essentially still brand new - to come cheaply. The purple monster is the perfect tool to eat up the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, and if you want it, keep a close eye on the listing for the new auction date.
OK, someone REALLY needs to give me the winning lottery numbers! :o
