IRS Penalties and Interest Eliminated for All U.S. Taxpayers under new “Rangel Rule” Legislation
http://carter.house.gov/News/DocumentSi ... tID=109658
All U.S. taxpayers would enjoy the same immunity from IRS penalties and interest as House Ways and Means Chairman Charles Rangel (D-NY) and Obama Administration Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, if a bill introduced today by Congressman John Carter (R-TX) becomes law.
This obviously won't pass into law, but it's obviously an attempt to make a point.

Obama's HHS Secretary Nominee (Tom Daschle) Faces Tax Questions
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch ... he-ro.html
ABC News has learned that the nomination of former Senator Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D., to be President Obama's secretary of health and human services has hit a traffic snarl on its way through the Senate Finance Committee.

The controversy deals with a car and driver lent to Daschle by a wealthy Democratic friend -- a chauffeur service the former senator used for years without declaring it on his taxes.
It's no wonder Democrats don't mind increasing everyone's taxes!
Apparently they don't think the tax laws apply to them, and seeing
how harshly they're prosecuted, they're probably right. Frustrating!
