Hemi oilpan.

Post by Goran »

Well, I am not really showing a dragracing pan, this one is built for street or road racing use.
I have not been driving hard with it yet, so we have to wait and see how it turns out.
The "lay out" is of my own, but I have made several similar "side throw out" design for dry systems.
The difference is the oilreservoir part right below the dry sump design part.

Pan has an ispection opening that is covered with an aluminium oildirector.

The pick up is in the centre of the reservoir.

Crank scraper arrangement in the shape of louvers. A drilled screen to stop larger objects
to enter the oilpump.

The finished pan weights in at 2,9 kilo.
It is supposed to go with 4 litres of oil in the sump which means 1-1,5 more litre for the filter and
engine during operation.
