A D-5 is the incorrect motor for that car

Re: 1971 Plymouth "Pro Stock" Duster

How is it "incorrect"?? This thing is a race car! Race
cars by their very nature are in a constant state of
change and modification. Experimenting with new
and different parts and combination was and is the
name of the game here. A D5 Hemi would be niether
correct or incorrect for this car and whether or not
the car was ever run with this particular combination,
or not - and who's to say that it wasn't at some time
or other - it's still a nice, rare touch and an example of
early '70's Mopar racing technology.

incorrect meaning that for 1971 they hadn't been made yet. An era correct hemi for that year would be using K in the very ealry part of the year or the D port head towards the end of the season. years later anything could be in there
