valve lash adjustment

Postby 1964moparnut » Fri Jul 08, 2005 3:10 pm

I need to adjust the valve lash on my 426 hemi and am looking for values and instructions. Is there a good website that has a set of instructions and the values for the exhaust and intake side? Thanks

Is the cam stock? If not you will need to find out who the cam manufacturer is and get the specs from them on setting the lash. Crane cams has a page on adjusting valve lash that is very good. Here is a link to the page. http://www.cranecams.com/?show=techarti ... a339c1d7cf

use the chart from mopar performance, we been using it for over 25 years it works, also just try different "lash" for intake and exhuast.
let the E.T's tell you what it wants, good luck C.H.
