Depends on how much you want to spend. The prices on E-bodies are outrageous right now. There are lot's advertised for sale due to the high market value. I like the E-bodies but would probably go with the classic lines of a 69 Charger for a cruiser.

Chargers are getting pricy too. Recently I've seen absolute junk piles, not basket cases, but junk piles going for upwards of $4k. 1967 to even 75 A-bodies are getting pricy too. The options for us money concious folk are geting limited. However recently I've been stumbling upon some decent and even semi nice 71-74 B-bodies that I wouldn't be afraid to drive home going in the 2k-4K range. Usually depending on drivetrain. I think I for one am going for a 73-74 Range Plymouth Satellite. Thats me though. You though, i have know idea what your age is, how much money you have to spend etc. etc. If you have the $40K+ lying around buy your Hemi car. However these days $40K is borderline wishful thinking for a Hemi car.....even a clone.

ah I must continue....
....unless you are one of the lucky few that uys a rat poop infested albet straight bodied car out of a barn for nothing drag it out pop the hood and there be a Hemi in it. Worth scouring the ends of the earth for. I've been at it since i was 16 so for a total of almost 5 years i've been at and found nothing better than a 383. Not flogging a 383 but it was a 4 door, and i jsut didn't want it. Now if you have say $30-$40K to blow or can get it, I'd grab a genuine M-Code car or a straight up 440 Roadrunner or Coronet R/T. I still see non-Mcode cars on ebay pretty regularly with 440 auto combinations go for as low as $8-$22K. These cars definately wouldn't win you an award for concourse quality. But if its a driver you want thats what i'd get.
