Supercharged-Hemi SRT 'Cuda coming? ... uda-coming
Two months ago, an insider told Allpar to be on the lookout for a Barracuda coming around 2014-2015. Now, with the Barracuda discussed by numerous auto sites, Allpar has been told that the SRT Barracuda would be the first car to get a new supercharged Hemi engine. This 6.2 liter Hemi will appear first in the Barracuda, according to the source, before moving on to other SRTs.

The original Plymouth Barracuda was a fastback version of the then-hot Valiant compact car, which took first, second, and third place in the short-lived NASCAR compact car series. It arrived on the market at the same time as the Ford Mustang. Barracuda was praised by contemporary critics as a European-handling sports car, particularly with the 273 and, later, the 340 cubic inch V8s. (A 383 v8 was also used, but its weight reportedly had an impact on cornering.)

In 1970, the original Plymouth Barracuda was replaced by a new car, also sold, with different looks and a longer wheelbase, as the Dodge Challenger. A new Valiant-based fastback, the highly successful Plymouth Duster, appeared in the same year.

Insiders say that the new Barracuda will not be nearly as “true to the original” as the current Dodge Challenger. Some say it will appear on a shortened large-car platform (LC or E-EVO), while others say it will share the new Alfa Romeo D-size platform which is currently being developed.
This is the first I've heard of this. A blown 6.2 to replace the 6.4, perhaps?
Everyone's going forced induction these days, so it would make good sense.
