The Florida Highway Patrol now has a new reason for those pondering evading high speed pursuit to think twice.

There's an old saying amongst law enforcement; "you can't outrun a radio." Well, down in Broward County Florida, the Ft. Lauderdale Sheriff’s Department wants to make sure you can't outrun their high speed pursuit cars either.

Recently they've added a few black and white Challengers, and one extra sneaky one in a plain gray wrapper. Well, almost anyway; there is a shadow 'Sheriff' image on the door, but by the time you see that it'll be far too late.

Continuing the long tradition of specially prepared police packages, the Hemi powered cars aren't quite stock either; the extras for police duty include front and rear radar units, a 36mph higher top speed of 165mph, Mopar cold air intake, and of course some bright red and blue LED lights.
It's a new blog entry, but an old story. Always cool to see cop Challengers!

My local police dept is now using ghost labeled Chargers.
Although it's not like a white Charger with dark tint, black
rims and side spotlights isn't enough of a giveaway.

I wonder if "ex-cop Chargers" are hitting CraigsList yet? :D
