In a stroke of luck that surprised even us, we've snagged close-up photos of Dodge's all-new 2011 Charger.

What's more, looking at the tire, wheel and brake packages, we're pretty sure this is the hot rod SRT8 variant.

Referred to internally as "LD," the 2011 Charger will be riding on a moderately updated version of the "LX" chassis. It will be packing Dodge's new Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 along with the 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and the monster 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 for the SRT8 model.

For those itching to buy the hip SRT model, we've got good news. We hear that all trim levels will be available at launch. At the moment, Chrysler is aiming to start production at the Brampton, Ontario, plant in October. But with things in flux at Chrysler, don't be surprised if that start date slips a few months.
