Sorry to hear that.

The Hemi TICK is just that a slight tick. Many have it.

I have a 2004 ram 1500 with the 5.7L Hemi. I got this truck with 26000 miles in 2005 and it had the tick then not so loud but still there... fast forward to today 2009 93541 miles and I am seconds away from replacing the connecting rod bearings....and I pray that the crank has not been damaged by the prolonged use. It is not something you should hear...Fix it before it gets bad!check the journals on the crank mine looked fine but one was turned about .010 and I did not notice until it was all put back together ....
