adding tach with 5.7 carb crate motor

Post by 5POINT7 »

I have a 67 Barracuda with the carb crate hemi and want to add a tach. I found a Mopar Perf tach adapter but can't find instructions for it. Seems like what I've found so far requires re-wiring one entire bank of coils (AutoMeter and MSD). Anyone got a better solution?

Wow! Glad you brought that up, I'm gathering the stuff together to put a 5.7 from a truck in my Cuda and hadn't even thought about hooking the tach up. Hopefully someone has some suggestions on how to get it done.

Are you running with the stock coil packs?

yes, they are the stock coil packs. I didn't do the car, but it is the 360 HP/360 torque crate motor, with a demon 650 instead of the 600 Holley.
