The body lines seem too close to an original Challenger, IMHO.
Anyone think this is an old Challenger with updated nose/rear
for the show circuit to see what people think about retro style?

the over hangs are not long enough - i think it is something they roughed in from a new charger

i got excited when i first saw it, but now i can see what scott said- it looks like an original with just a little modificaion......why would chrysler modify a charger so much, but then keep the challenger so much like the original???

They screwed up on the Charger and they know it, How could they not we all bitched about it. So now they're going to make it up to us buy not screwing up the Challenger. Why question a good thing, we sound like a buncha middle aged women we can't just be happy with anythng.

Hey if your gonna bring back a classic then do it freakin right. I hate to say it but FORD hit the nail on the head with the 2005 mustang and pontiac completly screwed up the GTO and can't admit it then dodge tried there hand at the charger and (it paines me to say this) screwed it up (who told them that they should try and put the same freakin grill on every car) now I hope they do the challenger right and if they make the one in those pictures it will redeem them from the disaster of the charger( dont get me wrong the charger is cool but it should not be called a charger)

I think they should build it as much like hte original Challenger as reasonably and safley as possible, Obviously things like overhangs, suspension, breaks, transmissions yatta yatta yatta have to be up to par, but this is the chance for guys my age to own and enjoy an iconic symbol of an era that we regretably missed.

Looks great. Reads Hemi engine meaning rear drive. should give Mustang a run for the money. Hope it comes out sooner than '09.

Or replace the '70 SE (small window)that we sold in '79 :( :( .

Only this time we can have a HEMI in it instead of a hopped up 318. :D :D
