Anyone watch "TRUCKS" on SPIKE TV on saturday (Oct 15TH). I think it was a rerun. Stacey David (the host), was looking for an engine for his new product SGT Rock. He said he didnt want to use the 5.7L HEMI because if you put more than 400HP through it, it will toss the bottom end. Is there any fact to this statement? You would think he is right, he shows no bias towards mopar, so i dont think it is an issue of only liking one maker of vehicle. Any UNBIASED reply would be appreciated.

I bashed them with an email the first time I saw that air. I told them they were full of crap and they need to get their facts straight before insulting themselves on national TV like that. I listed PLENTY of power references.

at around 550hp and 7000rpm the cam will seize up in the cam bearings due to block flex. that is only on the 5.7 block. the 6.1 block is far more renforced and can withstand 1300hp from my sources.
