Casting numbers for replacement block

Post by pbarring »

I am trying to determine the specifics about the replacement block on a 1968 Plymouth Road Runner that I inherited when my husband passed away recently  One of the numbers stamped next to the distributor is hard to read. Although there are local Mopar experts, this seems to stump them. It looks like C H - 426

Well, the local Utah expert, Steve Hinckley, came to my rescue. The C is 1979 and the H is Hemi. 1979 was the last year these casting numbers were used. Thus the mystery for a short time. Thanks to everyone who took a look at this post. Pam B.
