Dodge Hemi info
All low deck engines were made from the same casting, just bored to the next size without increasine bore thickness.Same with tall deck engines, but tall deck engines were compensated with thicker walls to accomidate larger bore.DON"T try to bore to tall deck diameter.

Street HEMI cam
I remember reading many years ago that the early solid lifter street HEMI cam was modeled on an Isky grind. Can anyone confirm this?I've got a Isky early HEMI cam that spec's almost exactly the same.

Sounds like you'e been looking at the Studebaker forums.I am building my own manifold also for a DeSoto.I thought about using the same Edelbrock as you,but too expensive.I'm building mine using materials that are available to anyone, and can be built on your work bench ,needing only drill press and a...

I bought a stand from Summit#sum-g1011.Put engine on it,and it had a SEVERE downward tilt, plus had slight shift to the right.Took engine off,cut and rewelded level and straight.Put engine back on and still hand downward slant due to slop in rotating head.Put 1 inch spacer on front leg, still has very...

This is the way I see it,if I'm wrong, please post reply. The valve stems need lubrication. The intakes are on the suction side, so they need seals to limit oil supply. The exhaust is on the pressure side so they don't need seals,BUT,the guide clearance, piston rings, fuel mixture, engine coolant temp.,an...

Bronze oil pump gear
Hi guys!I've got a steel billet cam that I'm going to use in a street driven engine.Normally a bronze gear is required, but due to the wear factor I was wondering if the stock gear can be given an anti-friction coating to make it compatable with the steel billet cam?Has anyone done this? Thanks for yo...
