The website is still up, ( www.pawinc.com ) but all you get is a page with their logo on it and all the links to other sections of the site are dead.

Re: Compression Problems 426 Hemi
Just checked the compression on my 426 Hemi. Drivers side each cylinder is about 150. The passenger side each cylinder is 115. Big difference especially since the engine has just been done and has less than 100 miles on it. Any suggestions on what might be the problem or cause. ---------------- If ...

The short bell industrial block is the same as the short-bell passenger car engine, so any flywheel, flexplate, bellhousing or adapter set-up made for the a regular passenger car block will bolt right up. About using this engine in your '50 Ford rod - it's a great choice, (any Hemi is!) but as it is...

Re: Tranny ID
It's just a regular 2-speed Powerflight automatic. They were used an all Dodge, DeSoto, Plymouth and Chrysler cars in the early and mid 50's. The "Bohnalite" name on the tailshaft housing isn't really significant - it's simply the name of the company who made the aluminum tailshaft housing...

Got another out. The VT348 is next. Someone wrote on the valve cover "truck 354". All I know is....The damn thing is heavy!!!! Heavy is right. If it's complete, you're looking at an about 850 lb, large sized lump of iron! If it's a VT348, it should be a '54 or '55 331 from a 'medium-duty'...

I agree with what you said about corporations doing what they have to do in order to compete, but that's why tariffs and import duties exist It's also why corporations - whose obligation and duty - and only reason for existence - is to maximize profit and "return on investment for shareholders&...

Re: 5 old hemi's
Time has been my enemy. Only one is out of the trailer. I would still like conformation on the VT348 number. 331 or 270? ------------------------ The VT346 is a 270 cubic inch Dodge hemi from a '55 or '56 medium-duty truck - probably out of a 1 to 2 1/2 ton chassis. The were also fairly common in s...

I am trying to get that number. I might call him tomorrow to have him look. --------------- As previously stated, you need to get the stamped numbers from the front/top of the block to find out exactly what the engine is. Basically though, if it's a 331 from a car, truck or even an industrial appli...
