In my expirence with dealers from Dodge, GM, and Ford when they build a racecar they will usually spend what it takes to get to the top with their Name on the side. They write the whole thing off in their ad budgets. Back in the days Banning/Lowe/Koons would spend what it took to be on top and the m...

Sure Pete...I could use a 6.1 crank. What's the info? Since there are none in any warehouse or parts depot, and none shown in any inventory, with no release date, having an in-service date of 2050 (yes, 2050) and only available someday maybe if ordered thru the Star Center. Give us all the details....

You don't have to imagine, lol. I bought a 6.1(370 ci) and had it stroked to a 6.8(413 ci) with a 8.5:1 cr and will be upgrading my turbo from the 60-1 to the GTS 76. What kind of torque numbers you looking to get? How fast are you planning on turning th engine? I can also probably scout you up a c...

Hey George, Chrysler labled the cylinders on the marine engines from the rear, firing orders are the same if you renumber the cylinder numbers from the front. They also offered the 2X4 331 but don't think they ever sold any. Every 331 I have ever seen was light greenish color. So anytime you see 2X4...

Vertex mags advance as the engine speed increases, you can get different weights to bring in just about any advance you want. The initial advance is fixed. Don Zig is the biggest current rebuilder of them. The Chevy models rotate in reverse of Chrysler mags. Expensive conversion. Used, runable condi...

I can't afford those new boats... :D I gotta get the old junk. My little boat was a 1957 17 foot Hondo with a blown 4.5 inch stroked 392 Chrysler Hemi, all glass. (Try flipping one of these at over 100MPH :o) My wood boat is a 100% new hand varnished wood, 21 foot 1956 Chris Craft Capri with a 354 s...

I have always used Milodon 3 center 4 bolt splayed main caps and billet front and rear caps. Never had any bottom end problems with that set up up to 1200 hp. I stud every 392 I build. I also had a set of straight 3 center bolt main caps made and they are on the 3 rd motor. Key is to never cut the b...
