dome volume pushed into a 92-102 cc head vrs the 112 cc of the 392 will make a difference. The early 331-354 heads have smaller combustion chambers than the 392 heads.

Factory tollerances are sometimes understated because people push the window, you can do the same thing with thicker headgaskets, what about the pistons got any comments on the subject? :roll:

New Cranks and the origional Crager manifolds are available, last prices I paid were the crank 2650 the manifold run 425. Check with your engine machine shop, or parts finder, they can get them for you.

I would send it to a shop IN THE US, NEAR PARTS SUPPLIES and have the long block rebuilt before I paid to have a 331 shipped to Holland. You can save having to pay for all that heavy cast iron junk shipped.... :roll: Ahh new hemi ebay bargin hunters... :roll: ..

Read that book as for what it is, just information. Get infromation on current technology from sources that actually do the work, not just repeat what they are told. I just finished a 430 inch "354" with 55 heads and found much of the books "infromation" to be heading in the righ...

Roller Lifters have been made for 35 plus years, the early light weight models required the machining of the block. The lifters from most Chryslers are interchangeable. Check their size.

New cranks are available from several sources. They run in the mid 2500-2600 range. They have always been made.
