I did the hyd. for obvious reasons....EZ maintenence...I used stock pushrods since this is never gonna see high RPM (as long as I'm driving)....and I wanted to save my adjustable rockers for my next project.Bailiesdad wrote:Never assembled a blower motor with a hyd cam, lots of mech, many more full roller.

I am trying to decide what cam to go with using a hydraulic cam. So please let me know what you did and why you chose that combo. Thanxs 450 lift....280 duration @.050 lift...110 degree centers..installed 4 degrees advanced...all of this per George @ Clay Smith Cams, Buena Park, CA. He's been doing...

Re: Dodge - Desoto industrials
Although I have been messing with the old Hemi engines for only 25 years or so, one of the consistant problems that I have seen is that of documentation, or lack there of. Has anyone actually seen, touched or photographed a Dodge or Desoto industrial ?? The amount of 'info' that is simply regurgeta...

You will probably never notice any difference between stock manifolds, block huggers and race headers in your application. I bought a set of those cheap-ass Chinese made block headers on Ebay. They don't fit worth a darn so I'm going to run stock manifolds on my blown 354. I'm not racing it...I've n...

Well, I ordered a filter at NAPA...we spent about an hour going thru the various filters for many of the passenger car and truck applications without any luck. THERE ARE MANY!!!! Then we found a listing for an industrial engine...all the measurements seem to be correct (I do NOT have the original fi...

Anyone have an oil filter #...
I'm running an early Dodge truck canister oil filter on my 354. It's the top loader type that you pull the filter out the top and the canister stays on the block.
I need a filter #...anybody know what it takes?
Thanks

Depends on what you wanna accomplish...a good daily driver? Mild. A three MPG lumpity-lump, overheating bear to drive...go wild! Most Hemi's run great with a mild cam...don't forget the BLOWER GETS THE HP!!! Check with the Dyer's, BDS and the other full-time blower shops that sell cams...don't forge...

Stroker questions for a 354
I bought a used 354 cranks that needs a little repair. Does anybody have any knowledge of the maximum stroke (with welding) you can put on a 354 crank? I've got a local shop with a lot of experience with welded strokers but they haven't done a Hemi in years. Their "old-timer" retired a few...

cam lift
Remember....most cam maufacturers list their lift @ .050 of valve lift...the .600 lift you mention is probably GROSS valve lift...confusing?...you bet! But that's the way it's done. Unless you want constant foolin' with adjusting valves (on a Hemi w/adj. pushrods it's nerve-wracking), I'd go with a ...
