Re: Three old hemis

Good news that 'engine number 3' looks like it's a go for rebuilding! 1600 bucks in a short block isn't really that much and you're right...it'll be worth it! :)

Re: 392 marine applications?

Hello Were 392 Hemi's used in marine applications? Thank you. ----------------------- Nope, not from Chrysler, anyway. The Chrysler Marine division in the 1950's only ever offered marine hemis in 3 sizes - a comparitively rare 270 Chrysler Marine hemi based on the low-deck 270 Dodge block and 331 a...

Nope. Wrong on 392's The 392 first came
out in the 1957 model year Chryslers and
Imperials. '58 was the last model year the
392 was made.

Gorgeous car, but if it were mine (Hey, I can dream, can't I?? :D ), I'd do away with that chintzy looking aftermarket steering wheel in a hurry. Back in the '70's and early-80's, in Hamilton Ont., there was a virtual twin to that car except it was black with red interior and wore a pair of M&H ...

Just wait until these -and all other gas-electric 'hybrids; for that matter - get to be 5 or 6 years old and need a '5000 dollar-plus' battery pack replacement. The problem is that people who buy 'hybrids' vehicles new - because they can afford to buy them, usually trade them in after 3 or 4 years -...

You mean this ad??? :D (see attachment below!) About the 'Torque-Thrust' wheels - they were - and are still - made by "American Racing". They weren't a 'factory' or even ' 'Mopar dealer-installed' option on the GTX or on any other car. They're strictly an aftermarket wheel. In the mid-and ...

Hmmm?? I don't know.. Re: 1966 to 1968 hemi carb. colors?

Not that I know of. Any and all of the stock and near-stock 426 Street Hemis that I've ever seen all had an natural aluminum finish on their AFB carbs .. One possibility though - for a while back in the '70's, Carter sold an 'aftermarket performance' version of the AFB that had a black finish. Perha...
