I found a guy on the web who might have more info, and this is what he had to say about the castings... The casting number that you referenced is for a DODGE D500 engine. Casting number is 1734049. Dodge also used another casting number for the D500, which was 1730541. It is believed that the 173404...

A website visitor writes that he just bought a 1956 DeSoto FireFlite
and it has an S23 (FireDome) Hemi engine. Would this have been

Kenne Bell's update is still "a couple more months".
They are still having an issue calibrating electronics.
Their kit is probably going to be about $5,000 w/ IC.

I'm very certain they're the same bolt pattern and will bolt-on ok.
