Any clue if those early Dodge Hemis would fit in a Jeep?
The wife thinks it would be cool to create a "Hemi Jeep".

And by saying Jeep, I am talking about CJ5s and CJ7s.

Originally I was under the assumption that the 1968
Superstock Dart and Barracuda came with the Race
426 Hemi. But I am now hearing that they were just
Street 426 Hemi motors with cross-ram intakes.

Meaning, 10.25:1 compression and Street 426 cam.
Does anyone have any solid information either way?

The 5-45RFE 5-speed auto for the 2003 2500s:

1 -- 3.00
2 -- 1.67 upshift, 1.50 kick-down
3 -- 1.00
4 -- 0.78
5 -- 0.67

The same engine and transmission in the 1500,
so I assume they probably kept the same gears.

I understand the 5.7L is 10% more efficient than the
5.9L but that the truck now has worse aerodynamics.
(And thus the improved fuel economy is not noticed.)

reference to early 1966 426 Hemi blocks (built in 1965)
that came in turquoise, not orange. Anyone confirm?

I imagine mileage will get better as it breaks in, too.

These guys have received a batch of crate engines.
Contact them quick, I bet the engines will go fast.

While you are at it, be sure to order the blower kit
they have for the 5.7L Hemi, too, to get 470-hp!

I have never heard of that before, and I would doubt it.
