I changed oil in my '04 at 1600 miles with Mobil 1 and a Mopar filter. It hasn't used any oil that I can tell.

Flowmaster Update
Just to share my experience with the Flowmaster #9530560 Hemi muffler. When I first installed it I kept the resonator in place, and I previously reported that it was entirely too quiet. I have since removed the resonator, and now it's alarm triggering, window-rattling loud... sounds excellent!

Oil Pressure?
I'm used to seeing an oil pressure gauge vary somewhat with engine rpm, but the one on my '04 Ram quickly moves from the far left to straight-up-center when the engine is started (too quickly, I think), and remains this way, without variation, as long as the engine is running and regardless of engin...

Had Flowmaster Hemi Muffler Installed
Just got home from getting the Flowmaster #9530560 put on my Ram, and as boss_hoss wanted to hear about it, here goes: It's quiet!!! It doesn't put out nearly the sound that the 50 series did on my 4.7 Dakota. Don't get me wrong...it is much better than stock and has a low rumble that is a noticable...

Flowmaster #9530560
The tech people at Flowmaster recommend part #9530560, a 50 series muffler, rather than one of their generic 40 or 50 series items. Presumably the Hemi needs this particular muffler to have the proper back pressure. I agree with boss_hoss on the cat-back price, as new tailpipe plumbing isn't going t...

Noisy Motor
I've also noticed a bit of "clatter" from my '04 Ram. It doesn't sound like the valves are about to eject but is louder than I've experienced with previous Dodge engines. Am I safe in assuming that the Hemi has a slightly noisy valve train? (it's only got 700 miles on it!)

Flowmaster with Resonator
I've got a Flowmaster (# 9530560, the one recommended for the Hemi) and am going to put it on next week. Should I keep the resonator or give it the boot? The only reason I would consider keeping it is if the interior noise would be reduced with it. Anyone done this? I don't object to the interior no...
