Anti theft will allow the engine to run for a few seconds then stall. No crank at all sounds like another issue.

red ram dodge valve covers, what do they fit?

This is an email description of a set of valve covers.

Red ram dodge valve covers, chrome with the words red ram dodge in red paint.

Can someone tell me what size and year HEMI these are for by this description?

Supply and demand. If the crate motor and the production engine share similar parts and DC is having trouble keeping up with demand on the production end that will drive up the price of the crate motor.

Why?

But anyway I doubt the hood is high enough let alone the distance between the radiator support and the firewall is large enough. I could only see this working on a pro stock race chassis with a heavily modified body sitting on it.

Oldiron, thanks for the comment about my site. I have been unable to find where I read about the lower profile but I may have come across another reason for the new engine not being OHC. The MDS was part of the design from the beginning. It works by deactivating the lifters. Not sure if this would o...

One reason I heard for the new HEMI being OHV and not OHC was to make the engine have a lower profile.

All of this is true. The hemispherical head design is not patented or owned by any one manufacture. Chrysler as had a knack for marketing it in the 50's, 60's and today. Chrysler (now DC) does own the word "HEMI" as a trademark. My uncle had a Dodge Aries K with one of those 2.6 liter mits...

The recommended interval in my manual is 6K. I am going with 5k using Syntec. I used to be one of those 3k no matter what but I have come to the conclusion that this has become a tactic to sell more oil or get you into jiffy lube more often.

I felt the same way when they 1st came out. I wanted to replace my truck with an SUV but with an 8400 lb. car trailer it limits me to what I can get. I looked at a Suburban 2500, Excursion and Armanda but for the HEMI power and price you can't beat the Durango.

Bought a new Durango

I traded my '95 V10 Ram in on a '04 HEMI Durango SLT 4x4 yesterday. Guess I will be seeing some of you in October at the plant tour. I have not done anything to the truck yet but you can see pics at

I know my uncle had an early K car with a Mitsu 2.6. There was some type of HEMI insignia on the fender.
