Great build but the hack job clearance cut on the radiator frame looks like crap!

I like this guy! His stuff makes more sense to me and he's NOT politically motivated. BTW, didn't Al Gore say that the polar ice caps would be melted by 2014? Let's see, yup they are still there!

I love how they used Force's Mustang as the lead photo, since he's always promoting his engine as a 'Ford' engine!

That's a lot of shine there! I guess I'm old school though, I LIKE seeing coils and plug wires going in through the middle of the valve covers!

Re: Ram tops Consumer Reports' pickup ratings for first time

I just bought a 2012 Ram 1500 with the 4.7 and 6 speed auto trans. I love this truck! I would have preferred a 5.7 Hemi, but the deal on this one was just to good to pass up. The 4.7 will do whatever I need, I wanted a 5.7 just because! :D

Re: 05 5.7 Swap in 73 charger (power steering questions)

Wow! Four and a half years since I got the 5.7 running, doesn't seem like it's been that long! Just an update on the power steering pump issue. After all this time I'm still running the factory 5.7 pump with my 70 steering box. I've had no issues whatsoever, leaks or anything else. I see absolutely ...

Yup! I'm still waiting for a Roadrunner type car with just the basics and no frills at a price we can all afford. But, with all the government safety, noise, fuel econ, etc. regs these days I'm sure that's just a dream.

OK, reads like an old article from back when parts were hard to find, guess he's used to SB Chevys! Wonder how you convert a 354 to 392? :o Put a 392 crank in a 354 block, it's been done before. I can't see where there's any advantage unless you have a bad 392 block and can't find another one and j...

This country WILL go bankrupt, we have gone too far down that road to recover! Just do whatever you can to take care of your family when it happens.

Re: World's Fastest 3rd Gen HEMI @ 8.08 ?

Don Garlits put one in one of his Swamp Rat dragsters and made some passes with it, but I don't remember the times. I think it was in the 6's, but that engine was supercharged and running on nitro. This may be the fastest stock bodied 3rd gen. hemi!

Now there is a man with a lot of common sense! Sharpton and Jackson should be censured, but our Liberal news media just eat up whatever comes out of their mouths. It's truly disgusting! I have to agree with Rev. Bryant on Obama's statement too, WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: wiring a denso alternator & A/C compressor

The two alternator wires go to the two terminals on a stock Mopar electronic voltage regulator, doesn't make any difference which wire goes to which terminal, but one terminal wire will also have to have a 12 volt power wire T'd into it (again, doesn't make any difference which one) that is only hot...

Scott, the Challenger was regarded as as a higher end car than the Barracuda. It was kind of like the Mustang and the Cougar, the Cougar being the upscale car.

Thanks David! I kind of figured some type of booster pump would be needed due to the low pressure used in the system. I am with you 100% on the domestic energy source, now all I have to do is figure out how I'm going to pay for the truck!

Re: pistons and cam selection

I ran the Egge 10 to 1 pistons in my 392 and had no problems at all running pump premium unleaded. I had the distributor set up with 20 deg. advance and ran 10 deg. initial timing with 30 deg. total timing, all in by 2500 RPM. I never had a pinging problem with that setup. The cam was the same as yo...

Re: 5.7L Steering pump flow and pressure

There are some differences on different applications such as year and pass car or truck, but the one that was on my 2004 truck 5.7 was rated at around 1300 PSI if I remember correct. I have no idea what the flow is on these pumps. The reason I researched it was because there was some talk of the lat...
