Ever wonder why new engines run 300,000 miles without using oil etc? Ever notice the temp gauge on a new car stays at 210 degrees? That is PART of why they last longer.

Moss, without knowing the compression ratio, etc. it is hard to tell. But, from years of building engines of all types, I would start with your timing. The engine will tell you what it needs with a simple vacume gauge. Plug the gauge into a MANIFOLD source. Advance timing until gauge tops out and be...
