Re: New Hemi in mmy Pantera.
I'm used to it now, but waiting for engine parts take good long time in disposal. I ordered all the parts in August, so it is now 6 months of waiting. The pistons order is a ghost, they were wrong and to get them the way they should look, will be a further delay. Really sad. When you want to have th...

Re: New Hemi in mmy Pantera.
Hemis might have problems with retainers hitting the valve covers, at least I had. My solution to this is to try the beehive
spring and own made titanium retainers.

New Hemi in mmy Pantera.
Now I have settled the matter, and started building a new engine for the car. I have long wanted a lighter engine and as a Hemi is heavy as aluminum is the solution to the problem. Indy blocks were choice and because it does not cost anything extra with larger bore so it become a 572 cui engine. It ...

Dual plug.
Here is more, I installed dual plug last winter. This turned out real good with a spark timing reduction of some 8 dgr as a general number. The Hemi has as we all know a big combustion chamber thatt require a large piston dome, creating an egg shell shape chamber. Dual plug will shorten the flame tr...

Oilpan
Hi! I have made a new oil pan again. I wanted some more space to the sides, for the oil to be thrown out, so I made a tray that just fit between the frame legs on the car. The old pan has worked fine, but it was small because of the space for the parking brake, etc, and a pan of this construction ...

Re: Super Stock Hemi Engine Build
I have tried to find someone who has knowledge of the hemispheric combustion chamber, but it
seems difficult to find. I'm trying to find out the significance of the combustion chamber shape
to incineration, not the function of the Hemi engine in its entirety.

Re: Hemi camwalk fix.
Mart. I've actually already done what you say. Since I have the engine in a Pantera, it's cramped for space for water pump, so I use a card chevy pump. I replaced the back of the pump, which is of thin sheet metal in favour for one of 4mm aluminum that is just touching the cam cover (with the right ...

Well, I am not really showing a dragracing pan, this one is built for street or road racing use. I have not been driving hard with it yet, so we have to wait and see how it turns out. The "lay out" is of my own, but I have made several similar "side throw out" design for dry syst...

Hemi camwalk fix.
Camwalk is wellknown when having a roller cam. Here is one way of fixing it. http://www.hemipanter.se/camwalk%205.jpg I used a standard roller timing drive from Comp Cam:s, and machined all surfaces. An aluminium bearing centre was fabricated. http://www.hemipanter.se/camwalk%206.jpg Here in its pos...

I'm looking for a Weber downdraft style intake manifold, does anyone know where I can locate one? Right before chrismas I had the idea that a independent runner manifold must be the absolutley right manifold for a "sportscarhemi". Not that I needed more power, just the thing, 8 stacks on ...
