Re: Oil leak from between head and block

MYSTERY SOLVED Answering 7 years after the OP's question. I fought this for years. multiple tear downs, copper head gaskets, secret sealants etc. Talked to many other 426 owners with the exact same concern. Finally found that is WAS NOT leaking at the head gasket but at the back corners of the intak...

Some handy mock-ups (cut from doner Dusters). These are excellent when building headers, mounts, custom K-members and front subframes, clutch linkage.........you name it. They are on dolly wheels and can even be stood on end when not in use....................... http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...

Re: But I don't have a chassis lift

If using Cherry picker where are lifting points (with chains?), and do they clear engine, K frame etc when lowering? Smitty Here's a picture of the chain location I found (when doing some prototype fitting). Actually the arm of the cherry picker will be over the top of the radiator support when doi...

You can do it!............................... You have all you need. The car does not have to be up that high and it is incredibly light with all of that stuff on the ground. We didn't even have to remove the hood to do this (and have done it many times). The chain goes across between the front K-m...

K-member/subframe is my own design. No trailer queen.........He drove it from PA to the Nat's in Columbus t...

Yes it fits ('73 Duster)....and the torson bars.....and the heater......and no "elephant ears" or sheet metal mods.........My own headers, Mancini offset master cylinder mount and a pinto rack inside of the K-frame. The engine (a Barton 472) has aluminum heads, water pump & housing, i...

I made my own......the torsion bars slide right through them and nothing touches. 1 7/8 x 30" equal length tubes (street). The car I'm building now has a custom built (my own) front subframe with coil-overs......B-E body TTi's fit up nicely. In the past I have used Hooker Super-Comps (they make...

Hemi install help

Don't even think about putting it in from the top.......do it from the bottom and the engine, trans, headers,
k-frame and rear trans mount go in as a single piece..........and no paint damage.
