I think they should build it as much like hte original Challenger as reasonably and safley as possible, Obviously things like overhangs, suspension, breaks, transmissions yatta yatta yatta have to be up to par, but this is the chance for guys my age to own and enjoy an iconic symbol of an era that w...

While I'm not to fluent on the new Hemi's yet, my opinion is a turbocharger. Theres no extra drag put on the motor, theres no paracitic power loss either. Turbos in my opinion are simply more efficient. The forced induction 5.7L that i have read about (never actually seen one) were making usually a ...

one more thing the Aeroheads come with valve springs, but if you don't use the springs that come with the Edelbrock package they won't cover the cam under warranty.

Worth scouring the ends of the earth for. I've been at it since i was 16 so for a total of almost 5 year...

Chargers are getting pricy too. Recently I've seen absolute junk piles, not basket cases, but junk piles going for upwards of $4k. 1967 to even 75 A-bodies are getting pricy too. The options for us money concious folk are geting limited. However recently I've been stumbling upon some decent and even...

I dunno. I'm partial to the 440. In its six pack encarnation i've read about it, i've heard about it, and i've witnessed it run neck and neck with a Hemi. Both were bone stock ofcourse. I just can't argue with that. Single rocker shaft, and bit more reliable and less finicky. I'm an avid 440 fan,how...

Thats very interesting. I'm a bit dissapointed however. When looking at the specs of the 6.1 block i.e. 4.06 inch bore, it seems to me that with a healthy .060 bore and 4 inch crank that would yield 426 cubic inches. However going on the assumption that the 6.1 block is cast like the 5.7 block then ...

I can say only one thing....ONLY MOPAR!!! I think honestly though, i'd rather see the twin cam tunnel 32-OHV Hemi. Thats a weird one to say, Twin Cam OHV. Dual Cam OHV. I dunno weird concept, but if anyone could have made it work its the Chrysler boys. I got to thinking about another point of intere...

Well, depends on what the heads are from and what block you are using. Lets say you were putting 426 Hemi heads on a 440 wedge block. Naturally you're going to want a good .030 overbore, and sonic check it and align hone it and deck it and everything. You would have to ensure that every thing that c...

The 265 tri-power is reffered to as the "Bathurst Special" was stock at 302 horsepower. I found a picture of the head once and the valves are inline parallel to the crank centerline like a 4.0L head. Its straight wedge, if you can find a picture compare it to a picture of a 4.0L HO head yo...

Not farfetched at all, 302 horse stock, 400 easy, only limitation was cylinder heads Mopar Performance makes an aluminum head that flows enough air for 500 horsepower. Ofcourse its gonna take a nasty cam and high compression but ya know whatever.

yeah you're right hemi heads just weren't as popular as they should have been. I found something intriguing however, is anyone aware of the "Hemi" inline sixes of Australia and New Zealand. 265 cubes pushing 302 horsepower with 3 2bbl carbs. This little 6 pot screamer is capable of 500 hor...

I thought there was an american car manufacturer even that early that had a hemi headed engine. I think it was only a single cylinder chain drive deal, but i think there was one at around that time. DOHC Hemi i think this is about the 2nd or 3rd time this topic has been discussed. It was quite a unique idea, twin cams, 32 valves, 16-branch intake manifold. Theoretical ouput i believe was around 950 horsepower with a single 4 bbl and the theoretical maximum RPM was in the 8000-9000 rpm band. Unf...
